Owner's Manual mistake

[BBEGIN -at- aol -dot- com]

I just read something scary: an owner's manual mistake led to a recall of  
Scions and Subarus.
 
The car is OK, but the owner's manual supposedly describes the airbag  
operation improperly, although details are not included. 
 
Does anyone know more about how it happened?
