Craig Cardimon asked for Help with Gmail Filters
I have configured a bunch of Gmail filters, but they don't function quite
as anticipated. The filters direct email to the folders I have specified, but they leave a copy in my Inbox. When I delete the copy from my Inbox, the the copy that is in the designated folder also vanishes.

My husband's company recently switched to Gmail. He had the same problem. After checking it out, he was told that Gmail is designed that way, and deleting an item from your Inbox deletes it period. Not especially user- friendly, is it? [Maybe Google monitors your inbox and can't see your personal folders. JMHO]
