TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
That one was hanging outside my cube since the last time it was
posted (this list, I'm sure). It had time to get dry and start to curl.
It replaced that Famous Last Words one with the tombstone
that said something like "Manual, schmanual! I'll figure it out!"
The only comments I ever noticed were brief nods of heads
and the odd "umph", like the reader was reading a truism.
If I was diligent, I'd have posted about 27.3% of the extant XKCD
cartoons.
While we're on the topic of low-sugar humo[u]r:
- if somebody points me at a third-party essay/joke/site, telling
me how hysterically funny it is, I might give a look if I'm not busy;
sometimes, I'll smile, occasionally I'll laugh
- if somebody points me at their own stuff, telling me how funny
it is, I delete the link; I'm never wrong to do so.
