TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
And this is something I don't understand. If I paid for the Kindle book... who cares WHAT format I use or read it in? Also, I've seen that I cannot even LEND some Kindle books. And you are limited on how many times. That is big time irritating. If I have a paperback, I can lend it to anyone who wants it, until the pages are falling apart, but if I have a digital copy, I can't lend it!
I'm willing to honor copyright to not COPY and give away to someone... but if I want to convert for easier reading for MYSELF... why is this wrong?
I think, like everything else, laws are becoming way too invasive for our own good...
Just my 2 cents...
Deborah

Remember that some Kindle files are also protected with DRM, so extracting the files is a violation of copyr.... yadeyada.
I like the Kindle app on the iPad better than a standard Kindle.
