Great to hear that TCs met in Shanghai! Congratulations! I would love to
hear more about your experiences with the meeting.

BTW, the February issue of STC Intercom will have an article about the
profession in China. The theme of the issue is International Job Market, and
it contains articles about several regions: US,Europe, India, China, South
America. There will also be a web version that contains a couple of more
articles about Canada, India, and the US.

Around 30 people attended the first tech communication professionals
gathering in Shanghai, China on Dec.15. The following topics were presented
at the gathering:
1. Tech writing in China and challenges
2. Information development in Agile
3. Career path to become a tech writer
4. How to enhance UX using good documentation design Hopefully there
will be more similar gatherings in the future and it is every attendee's
hope that tech writing will enjoy more recognition in China.
