I really like mine, too.
The keyboard works fine for me at boot time; I can use it to boot into safe mode, enter the BIOS Setup screen, etc. I bet that just about everyone who has the "can't boot to BIOS" problem can solve it by going into the BIOS, finding the "boot-time USB" switch, and turning it on. And I bet that the owners of old Dell machines could solve THEIR problem by simply bringing their BIOS up to date with an update from Dell.
