Earlier today you received TECHWR-L email without a subject. *It's SPAM so
please don't click on the link.* Our system is fairly secure but it doesn't
do very well picking up SPAM that have blank subject lines. It also doesn't
do very well with people are not moderated.
Since it's a new year and a new quarter, it's time for that age old
recommendation: don't click on links that look odd. Mouse over the link to
see if it does go to YouTube, but we assure you the kittens in that video
aren't any cuter than the other 500 you've seen.
We do what we can to keep the garbage off of TechWhirl's list, but when
someone in the un-moderated family gets hacked, it's equivalent to having a
good friend walk up and sucker-punch you. We have no way to know it's
coming until after it's happened.
When in doubt, don't click.
