Need Space near Boston for Tech Comm programs and workshops
Subject:Need Space near Boston for Tech Comm programs and workshops From:Nancy Allison <maker -at- verizon -dot- net> To:techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com Date:Tue, 22 Jan 2013 13:44:37 -0600 (CST)
Hi, all.
The New England chapter of the Society for Technical Commuincation (STC) is looking for meeting space in somewhere fairly near Boston. Any location within 495 would work well for our membership. The projects we have in the works have a range of space requirements:
--One room for 2 to 3 hours, for 20 to 30 people, probably on a week night. We would probably bring in food, ranging from light refreshments to box dinners or sandwich platters.
--Half- or all-day weekend events requiring several rooms and a place to eat or permission to bring food in for 40 to 50 people, (possibly more, in our wildest dreams)
These rooms would need to accommodate the usual presentation technology, so a screen or plain wall for projected presentations is a necessity, and for webinars, internet connectivity is also required.
If you know of a corporate space or any other space that the New England chapter could use at low or no cost, please reply to me off-line. Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
