But Richard, authoring a 400+ page document in Word presents its own perils

I missed it. I've had a Word doc just *blow up* at 550 pages, and it wasn't
pretty.
If John really isn't even halfway done with this doc, then just based on
the document length doesn't it seem like he should be working in Word?
