TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
My favorites (er... I'm Kanukian, so that would have been "favourites") are a "Grump" and a "Quibble".
A "clench" is apropos, but applies to anybody with tight and shifting deadlines.
A "crock" resonated, somehow.
A "ream" had some historical traction, but would be lost on most, I expect.
A "volume" makes a certain sense, but most likely after a "jigger", a "shaker", or possibly a "crock"... but at least two of those are not in the sense that the originator intended (extra points if you don't have to ask me which ones).

Well, that didn't format so well. The list doesn't like Rich Text.
