I use multiple external drives at home to store my photography and technical
writing business material, and I have a couple of portable HDs for when I
travel. I use Dropbox to send large files to printers or tw customers, but
that is about the extent of my cloud used at this moment. I may expand in
the future, but it depends on the contract (between them now). However, I
also agree with Gene....you need to be careful carrying around external
drives. If you drop them, they may experience a catastrophic crash....and 3
TB is a lot of data to loose.

All the talk about online storage has me curious - does anyone use a
portable external hard drive *instead* of online storage, like Dropbox? I
was just @ Best Buy and it seems like external hard drives are coming down
in price. There's a 3 TB external hard drive for $159. Does anyone use
multiple drives like that instead of Dropbox?
