Monique Semp asked, "Is there a word - for typing the wrong homophone ?"
"..... I was typing in Spanish today... to a fellow student in my Spanish
class -- and made a similar sort of error! I meant to type "veo" but typed
"beo" because the "v" is pronounced with a "b" sound, so clearly my fingers
were typing what the imaginary voice inside my head was saying :-)."

Monique:
I'd call it a phonetic error, because you were typing the word phonetically
as you heard it pronounced by the imaginary voice in your head, and not the
way it is written or typed. I think this kind of error is probably very
common when someone is learning a new language, because it is hard to
concentrate on how the word sounds and how it is spelled at the same time.
And it is most difficult where the phonemes of your native language and the
language you're learning don't match up. That's where accents come from.
