I'm editing a book, and I'm getting the chapters as the various experts finish writing them. I'm to impose a consistent structure and basic format on them; they'll be fine-tuned in InDesign by the book designer later.
In cases like this, is it common to get the chapters helter-skelter and out of order? I'm finding it very difficult to edit the chapters out of context.

Becca
