Subject:Making a movie open in the same browser window From:Svi Ben-Elya <svi -at- svi -dot- co -dot- il> To:techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com Date:Wed, 28 Aug 2013 16:29:23 +0300
Hi gang,
I don't post often, but I need advice on one of two options (either will
solve the problem). Both deal with displaying a movie (.wmv or .swf) in
Internet Explorer (others browsers are not relevant). Please respond off
line or CC me. I receive the digest.
1. Question for Internet experts:
How can I set Internet Explorer so that when I click a link it opens in the
same window, NOT in a new window or tab? This needs to be the default (or
only) option. Right-click and selection is not an option.
2. Question for FrameMaker experts:
I am using a Hypertext marker with the open message command to create a link
that opens a movie.
( open message <fullpath_to_file> )
I am using Mif2Go to create the HTML. The problem is that in IE, the movie
opens in a new window. I need to limit it to open inside the same window
(replace the page or open in a frame inside the window).
How do I do this?
