TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Camtasia might be cheaper, but sometimes the overall corporate atmosphere urges one to aim even lower on the cost scale.

Subject: Re: Movavi software for creating video tutorials?
I haven't used this software, nor have I ever even heard of it. Sorry I can't help you there.
>From a purely selfish perspective, I would think that using Camtasia or Captivate (both well-known titles) would be of more benefit to *you* as you update your LinkedIn profile, your resume, and/or ponder your future career path. I used Camtasia a lot at my last position, and found it easy to use while letting me perform tasks I had initially thought were beyond its capabilities. Not only that, IMO the license fee is quite reasonable when compared to anything emanating from Adobe.
