People who think their professional opinions are special enough that
other people should buy their books and so on invite criticism.
I've found pundits in fields such as politics and economics whose
insights are worth the time it takes me to read them and in some cases
even buy their books. I have yet to find anyone who writes about our
profession at a level beyond the virtual water-cooler chitchat we have
here.
