Subject:Insert PUB in DOCX? From:Chris Morton <salt -dot- morton -at- gmail -dot- com> To:techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com, Word-Pc List <WORD-PC -at- liverpool -dot- ac -dot- uk> Date:Wed, 9 Apr 2014 15:42:39 -0700
I'm creating a somewhat lengthy DOCX file using Word 2013. I'm needing to
insert several full-page M$ Publisher files, one per page.
Selecting *Insert* > *Object* > *From File* results in the PUB file being
inserted as an icon (even with the *Display as icon* box unchecked) , so
that's no good.
So...I've tried *Save as* PDF and inserting that. This works, but the PDF
resolution is awful, such that the text is pretty illegible, at least
onscreen.
So... I've then tried opening the PDF in Acrobat Pro XI and choosing *Save
as other*, experimenting with Word, TIFF, PNG... Of these, the converted
DOCX file looks the best, but the conversion isn't perfect any further
manipulation in my master document is fruitless.
Suggestions?
Chris
