We have a similar function on our systems. We use the following definitions:
* "Import" when you're bringing in images from a different system
* "Transfer" when you're offloading images to media with the intent of importing them onto a new system
* "Archive" when you're offloading images to media with the intent of sticking the media on a shelf somewhere
