Writers are more efficient at their âcomfort levelâ. They donât need to be trained to use a new, possibly complex tool, just write as usual, then press a button and check the results. Also, we may need to use snippets from the help in other manuals, which are all written in Word.

If you don't need to produce manuals, I'm not sure why on Earth you'd want to stay in Word (other than comfort level) when the output you're producing is online Help.
