Re: LinkedIn invitations - accept "unpersonalized" ones ?
...
So two questions:
1. When youâre on the receiving end of invitations, do you treat them any differently based on whether theyâve been personalized? Why or why not?
2. When you send invitations, why or why not do you choose to personalize the message?
Gave up on any of that stuff. Dropped F*cebook. (Should call it Face-hugger-book; it's that tenacious when you you try to make it go away.)
Only Linkedin invitations (I refuse to call them invites) I ever get are from people I don't recognize. I never respond. If I want to communicate with someone I already know I use e-mail, or (ghhasp) the telephone. Occasionally I ever stop by and visit.
I think we're going to be doing more of the stop-by-and-visit fairly soon. Our ponies need better training, and we're planning to hitch and drive. It's a slow and rather sociable mode of transportation. I've got to invest in a huge and blinking red triangle "slow vehicle" marker. A few folks out there think horses, carriages and bicycles Do Not Belong on the road.
Retro-tech. Retro-tech. Maybe I'll get my pneumatically operated digital piano running again, too.
