I accept invitations from people I've worked with and people I know
personally. I don't care whether those invitations are personalized.
Maybe the person just joined and let LinkedIn send invitations to
everyone in their address book.
I usually ignore invitations from recruiters, but occasionally I get a
message from one that has a pretty on-target pitch and accept that. So
that's the only time it makes a difference to me.
