Hello Hanna,
It is truly annoying that MadCap doesn't offer a print topic to target function, without having to modify or create a custom target.
However, I have a very usable work-around....
You just need to install a Windows printer that outputs directly to PDF.
Adobe Acrobat includes one but there are many free print to PDF drivers.
Then... select a Preview as PDF from the XML editor. From the preview, right-click and select Print..., select your Print to PDF driver and save the resulting PDF. You will have a PDF of the chapter that appears identical to the preview.
