Subject:Any VBA folks out there? From:Mike Starr <mike -at- writestarr -dot- com> To:techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com Date:Sat, 20 Dec 2014 16:38:37 -0600
I'm working on a project in Word 2010 and I need some VBA assistance.
I'm using legacy text fields formatted as numbers and I need to do some
calculations based on the values in these fields. I would have used
content controls but firstly I started in Word 2003 and secondly I've
got all this stuff in tables and the content controls are bigger than
the space I have allocated in the table cells (although I have to admit
I really don't have any experience with content controls). Anyway, each
text field has a bookmark name and I have them set up to execute a macro
when exited. What I don't know how to do is how to actually write the
VBA that does this sort of stuff with bookmarked text fields. I've got a
draft of how I want the calculations to occur, using the bookmark names
but think I need to embed that in more sophisticated VBA. Anyone got a
bit of time tonight (Saturday) or anytime tomorrow (Sunday) to take a
look at what I've got and tell me how I need to modify it to actually
make it work? I'm also going to post this on a couple STC mailing lists.
Thanks much.
Best Regards,
Mike
