Seems like a waste of time to me. My authoring tools deal with^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
resizing bitmaps as needed for the various output formats and keeping
them at full resolution in the source gives higher-quality results for
both PDF and HTML.
