TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Thanks Chris and Tony. I was required to make a LinkedIn profile for two of
my technical writing classes so I do have that. I attempted to add you
Chris, but I don't know your info so perhaps you could add me if that is
okay with you. You have provided me a lot of information that I am going to
have to sit down and read more carefully. Thank you.
Yes Tony, manufacturing is for sure the route I want to go. I use to work
side by side with engineers communicating with them what errors I found in
the product and procedures and often times changes would be made based on
my discoveries. I will look into toastmasters. Public speaking is one of my
weaknesses, but when I am in an environment working with people I easily
adapt and get comfortable with them.
Thanks again,
Craig
