TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I need to add PDF pages generated from a system to which I don't have
access to another PDF file. These pages have obsolete footers on them.
There is no option to generate them without those footers or to have the
footers updated to match the approved style.
- Is there a way of making the information in those footers invisible or
blocking them out?
- Is there a way to do it automatically so I don't have to hand edit
500+ pages?
Ideally, I'd like to obscure the obsolete footers and replace them with a
footer that has the correct proprietary warning and page numbers that
continue on from the document into which they're being inserted.
I have Acrobat X Pro.
