I'm honored by Veronica's recommendation of XML Weekend Crash Course. But the book is still for sale, and under copyright. The link provided is to an unauthorized copy on an illegitimate web site.

So ... please choose explicitly "free" resources, or purchase resources that are for sale.

I'm trying to get up to speed in XML for a new contract position. Is there a
book or process I could follow that would expedite this? I know there are
free tutorials online. Where should I start?
