Subject:Re: âWhat we need is a developer who can write.â From:Simon North <simonxml -at- gmail -dot- com> To:TECHWR-L <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Fri, 9 Oct 2015 17:29:14 +0200
Well, since Craig asked: I can - with various levels of proficiency - code
in Fortran, Algol, Ada, Pascal, C, C++, Modula2, Python, Perl, Lisp,
Verilog,RTL, SystemC, JavaScript and a lot more that I have forgotten. I
am an expert in HTML, XML, CSS, HyTime, SGML, XSLT and PostScript. I am
fluent in English (my first native language), French, Dutch and German, and
can manage with Spanish, Italian and Russian. In addition to a postgraduate
qualification in technical writing, I have a higher diploma in electronics
(avionics) and a good understanding of EDA. Oh, and I spent 2 years as a
software quality assurance engineer so I know things like the CMM and Agile
intimately. I can edit sound, video and image files, including authoring
subtitles. I am also good at graphics design and am a usability expert. I
guess that's why I am the documentation manager in the software R&D
department....
Simon.
