I have had similar issues at a previous job and found frame did not handle
them well. A predecessor had mapped the network drive to a hard drive,
which frame took to be something like Z: instead of //. This lead to me
having to relink every single file in the manuals.
Unfortunately, Framemaker at the time (Frame 9 I think) did not have the
same feature as other adobe products like indesign, which will
automatically scan a folder where you relink a missing file link for other
missing links. This means you have to relink every single image one by one
rather than just selecting an image and automatically relinking every other
relevant image in that folder. :(
