When I look for information on using software, I never go for the video if there's a simple, inline text with figures available. Because almost every time I need help, I'm looking for ONE bit of information on ONE particular dialog or menu, and the rest is a waste of my time.

Doing something physical is another matter. If I'm trying to figure out how to do something with tools and parts and there's video of the operation available, I'll watch it several times before I even start on it.
