I'm considering upgrading my heavy-duty laptop - i7, 16GB RAM and 2TB HDD.

Can I assume that all previously installed programs will be there ready to
run after the upgrade?

My concerns with upgrading to Windows 10 were more with security. I finally
bit the bullet around a month ago and upgraded my Windows 7 to Windows 10
and went through all of the security settings afterwards. The final result
is that it was extremely painless and I'm glad I did it because my computer
seems much faster now and I haven't had any problems at all.

I should note this is not a new computer, and it was not a clean install.
This computer has a 2 TB drive it in that is 70% full. I have a plethora of
programs I've installed and forgotten about over the past few years. I have
devices galore connected to this computer, including 3 different types of
printers.

Not a single problem. None. Nada. Zilch.

I'm a happy camper!
