Can you not select the Adobe PDF printer instance and print as either a .ps (postscript) file or directly to a PDF?

Yes, but goal is not to create a PDF of the image. The goal is to create a PDF version of a Doxygen-generated API Reference.

The way that Doxygen creates the PDF from the C/C++ source code comments is to generate a huge directory of .tex (LaTeX) files. These .tex files must be converted to PDF, which I'm doing via MiKTex.

So this is not a "regular" process of creating a PDF from one single source doc. It's a many-step, many-tool thing to accomplish getting custom comments from API source code files and other ancillary files (such as the graphics in question) into a nicely-formatted PDF. Doxygen can directly generate HTML output after it parses the source code files, but for PDF output (which I still say is unnecessary, but some people say otherwise :-), this round-about method is the only way.

(I think it time that I move my questions to the Doxygen and LaTeX/MiKTex forums.)
