preface all my indices with this disclaimer?

Hardly. That thar sentence is a piece of clever marketing. "If you cannot find what you were looking for, buy something else instead." The reader of the catalogue is already intending to buy, and the catalogue is totally filled with items one should own, or should want to own. For example, right on page 46 you will find genuine Burgon & Ball 7-inch sheep shears for just $1.25. I think I paid about $35 for mine. Wouldn't you like a pair of sheep shears, too?

When shearing it is useful to recite to your sheep this mantra: "A helpless sheep is a calm sheep. A helpless sheep is a calm sheep."
