Hi Josh,

For previewing proprietary Adobe and other file types, I use Adobe Bridge
CC.

Itâs the only Adobe CC app that you can use indefinitely *without* a CC
subscription. You need a free Adobe account, then you install the Adobe CC
app, which lets you install and update Bridge. Also, youâll be somewhat
dependent on Adobe to not require a subscription in the future for using
Bridge CC .

Bridge CC can handle other non-proprietary file types as well that Windows
Explorer can not, for example, EPS vector or RAW image files, and of course
the usual ones, such as PDFs, JPEGs, etc.

Plus it has a number of more advanced file management features than Windows
explorer.

Which file types are you dealing with?

Best,
Thorsten
