Both Google and Microsoft have online style guides that cover both documentation and UI design to some degree. (Help is supposed to be part of the interface in modern products, eh?)

Apple will have similar documents.

I had a nice list of guides on my departmental web site at work, but unfortunately I lost access to it when I was "retired".
