TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
It is unwise to retain docs past their legal retention period. If they get
a subpena for docs, and they have them even if the retention is expired,
they have to produce them, whereas if they had been destroyed on schedule,
they are indemnified.
Are you having issues finding everything you think is there? I started
using a search application called X-1 Search...the best $95 application I
have ever invested in, and it will pre-index shared folders and SP sites.
