Subject:Re: Any of you using Corel WordPerfect? From:J Parrick <jrfude -at- gmail -dot- com> To:techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com Date:Thu, 22 Aug 2024 07:53:58 -0500
For a better alternative, that has a much better price, you can go to
libreoffice.org and download its program for free. It's free, on purpose,
not a pirated bit of software. It has HTML tagging, and even in document
anchor tagging that carries over to PDF output. I used Corel Wordperfect,
and even used its version of "powerpoint" to make frame based HTML pages
back in the late 90's. LibreOffice was born from OpenOffice, which was born
from frustration when M$ worked with making a better Java, then spurned
Java, and created their own version. From that, they decided to open source
their version of Office, and like many Open Source projects, it grew fast,
and powerful.
