Subject:Re: Why not go to Dallas? the fee... From:"Michael McClatchey" <mmm -at- AISINC -dot- COM> Date:Tue, 30 Mar 1993 13:21:49 -0500
Hi everyone, I'm the Senior Technical Writer at Applied Intelligent Systems, in
Ann Arbor, Michigan. I've been an STC member for several years, and although
I'm not particularly active, I do enjoy the events. However, Dallas is too
expensive for both myself and my company. I don't see the "return on
investment" for me personally, and I really couldn't justify asking for the
money to go, given what else is going on around here. I regret not being there,
but that's how it is...
If it's a money-maker, maybe it could be videotaped (inexpensively!), and the
tapes circulated to chapters, or rented. For some of the "blockbuster"
presentations, the circulation could be quite high.
Thanks,
Michael McClatchey
