Basic Literacy

1. Ability to turn on a computer without terror.

2. Know that the cursor will not move because you wave the mouse in the air.

3. Understand directory structure and how to move around in it.

4. Can copy, move, open, change, and save files in the desired directory.

5. Can do the functions described in #4 in the desired operating system,
regardless if it is DOS, Mac, Windows, etc.

Advanced Literacy

1. Ability to change characteristics of the operating environment.
(Config.sys or autoexec in DOS, control panel in Mac, etc.)

2. Ability to diagnose some simple problems. (memory designated for
applications, etc.)
