Actually, Jeanne, I meant damned good writer as in
amazing--I was the damnedest thing they'd ever seen--or as
extremely good, the "absolute" writer. It's a bit of
bravado, Texas style, but one that you will find documented
in the Second Edition of the Random House Dictionary.
