> My job responsibilities include both user documentation
> and product usability... are any of you involved in usability work?
> And does anyone know of a usability/human factors list?
Last year I attended "Usability Concepts and Procedures: Third Conference on
Quality in Documentation" at the Univ of Waterloo. One of the presenters
was Amanda Prail, Human Factors Engineering Mgr, Computer Systems
Organization, HP, Cupertino, CA. She is one of the experts in the field so
you should try contacting her. Also, STC has a Usability PIC that was
started at this year's conference. I don't have any info on it, but maybe
someone else does?
