It's also possible to use the sponsor or company name, to avoid the use of
"we" or the passive voice.
"Inference Corporation recommends that you read the documentation,"
for instance. This works better for short names or company nicknames.
In most circumstances, I would direct the reader with a gentle
imperative. "Read the documentation." This avoids the weakness of
the passive voice, and avoids mentioning the recommending party.
