A ratio of 1:4? In what world did the magazine survey?
I'm the lone technical writer in a company of 8 developers (with 3 open
slots, so make that 11 for all practical purposes). I suspect that is
more of a real world average than the number quoted by the magazine, but
I'd be interested in hearing the experience of others.
btw - This list is a real boon to those of us who are the only one of our
profession at our company. It's most useful to have that exchange of
ideas, albeit electronically. (Yes, I know this has been said more than
once before, but it is worth repeating.)
