Subject:Mall of America, STC conference, etc. From:Vicki Rosenzweig <murphy!acmcr!vr -at- UUNET -dot- UU -dot- NET> Date:Tue, 15 Mar 1994 16:18:47 EST
This is a bit of general advice: anyone planning on spending
the day at the megamall, maybe wandering around Stillwater on
Sunday, and then going to the conference should be sure to
pack comfortable shoes. It is _very_ easy to underestimate the
amount of walking you've done at a mall (even a smaller mall)
because you don't go outside and therefore aren't counting
blocks. Almost any conference can also involve a lot of walking,
especially if you aren't staying in the conference hotel. I
learned this one the hard way. Please, be good to yourself.
