Speaking as an ex-general manager of the conference and a frequent
attendee, may I suggest:
~ Wear comfortable shoes, even running shoes, for all sessions. You won't
be alone. Save the fancy shoes for the evening (sit-down) events.
~ When you arrive, scout out the conference facility to get a feel for
where the rooms are in relation to one another. When you get your program,
look at which rooms have the sessions you most want to attend. With this
kind of mental map, you'll know when you have time to chat between sessions
and when you have to get moving to get to the next one.
~ Attend at least one of the Program Tours. You'll learn a lot, meet some
nice people, and avoid getting saturated with sessions.
~ Bring business cards if you have them. If not, get some printed NOW!
There's still time.
~ Have a great time, and say hello to everyone!
See you there,
Marguerite
