TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
One possibility is to order a copy of the Proceedings of this year's STC
conference, find some papers you can relate to, and contact the authors
directly. Not quite the same as attending the conference (though they may
tape some sessions), but not too bad as a substitute (and a lot cheaper).
To order a copy of the Proceedings (in case you've discarded your
conference program), contact the STC office.
I'll be interested in what you turn up as a solution to your problem. Good
luck.
