In regards to the space space issue:
I always used double spaces after a sentence until I started
using FrameMaker, which defaults to one space after a
sentence. Then I found out that the one space convention
is standard in the typesetting world, therefore the default.
It was hard to break the space space habit, but I did.
But now I am intrigued: which should we be using, and why?
