When was this? I've never heard of such a limitation, nor read it in any
grammar/style document, and I'm no spring chicken! Passive voice is, of
course, when the verb does to the subject instead of the subject doing the
verb. And how's that for spavined syntax? suepstewrt -at- aol -dot- com
