Ah...! Curiously, this is more a matter of WP/DTP software than of typing.
The "old" ting rules dicted two spaces after a period. A lot of smart
WP/D/DTP tools simply add the required space as a matter of course. The
caveat is that some don't. So you really need to check into your tools for
this on If your software does the adjustment, leaving two spaces may result
