:::sigh::: There's no place like home...
Please do check out the West Bank of the University of Minnesota for
vegetarian cuisine (the New Riverside Cafe), local music (the 400 Bar, etc),
and theater. It's a no frills neighborhood, and the establishments can be
termed "quaint dives". But the music is usually hot, and the variety of
food (from Ethiopian to Vietnamese to good old "Burgers and Fries" can't be
beat. Dress down and live it up.
